The role of intermediary organizations in the development of the creative sectors.

Culture is also a production chain: national and international context. Too often, culture is perceived solely in its artistic and expressive dimension. However, it is essential to recognize it as a true production chain, with well-defined professions, skills, and economic dynamics. At a national level, entities like Outdoor Arts Italia ETS, have been operating for years, understanding this complexity and supporting the often fragmented network of artistic and organizational micro-realities that form the backbone of our cultural landscape. Looking at the international context, we note how sectors like Outdoor Arts have a rich and growing market, but one that is still scarcely accessible to Italian productions. This requires us to reflect deeply on how to strengthen our creative production chain to compete effectively on a global scale.

Imagining new models of promotion, exchange, and artistic mobility, through dialogue between public and private initiatives: Fira Tàrrega and support for the creation of Catalan companies. To overcome the challenges of the global market and promote the circulation of our artistic excellence, it is necessary to imagine models of promotion, exchange, and mobility that go beyond traditional approaches. An illuminating example in this sense is Fira Tàrrega, an event that is not only a leading international showcase for performing arts in public space but also a driving force behind supporting the creation of Catalan companies through targeted policies and constant dialogue between public and private sectors. We will explore how models of this kind can inspire new strategies in our national context as well, where the dialogue between institutions and private initiatives can generate virtuous synergies for the growth of the sector.

The models of development agencies abroad and the new mission of Outdoor Arts Italia as a facilitator within networks. The international landscape offers several models of development agencies that successfully support the creative sectors. Entities like Lieux Publics in France or Outdoor Arts UK in the United Kingdom play a crucial role in providing strategic support, networking, and internationalization opportunities. In this context, the transformation of the former FNAS into Outdoor Arts Italia ETS marks a significant turning point. With its new mission as a Middle Organization, Outdoor Arts Italia positions itself as a facilitator within networks, with the aim of connecting artists, companies, festivals, and institutions, promoting collaboration, training, and circulation.
