OUTit Art Lab
OUTit Art Lab is the continuous training programme accessible directly through Outdoor Arts Italia's digital platform. It brings together courses, webinars, masterclasses and training content developed to meet the real needs of artists, operators and programmers in the outdoor arts sector. The pathways cover artistic, technical, managerial and relational skills: from dramaturgy for public space to European project design, from digital communication to safety in technical setups. Each course is designed for independent learning, with downloadable materials, video lessons and practical resources always available. Outdoor Arts Italia members access the full catalogue with a 10% discount and can follow the pathways at their own pace and according to their professional needs. OUTit Art Lab is an evolving tool: new content is regularly added in response to sector transformations and community requests.
OUT Art Lab
OUT Art Lab is the intensive in-person training programme, heir to the historic FNAS Lab experience, open to sector professionals of all ages. It consists of immersive workshops, practical labs and collective work sessions led by artists, curators, technicians and operators of recognised national and international experience. OUT Art Lab emphasises direct exchange, fieldwork and the sharing of practices among participants from different contexts and disciplines. Sessions take place in selected venues — theatre spaces, production centres, artistic residencies — and are structured to offer an intense learning experience, oriented towards practice and the building of lasting professional relationships. OUT Art Lab is designed for those who want to deepen specific skills, test new tools and engage with colleagues and mentors in a high-quality training context.
OUT Next Gen
OUT Next Gen is the project line dedicated to young professionals under 35 in the outdoor arts and contemporary circus sector. Through residential training pathways, support programmes and artistic development opportunities, OUT Next Gen supports the entry and consolidation of new generations in the professional market. The programme values emerging creative potential, promotes generational renewal and offers concrete tools to face the challenges of artistic and organisational careers. OUT Next Gen integrates technical training, individual mentoring, access to professional networks and production opportunities, with the aim of accompanying young artists and operators in building solid, sustainable and recognisable pathways. The programme is under development within funded projects and will progressively take shape as a continuous action of Outdoor Arts Italia.
OUT Mentor
OUT Mentor is the support programme dedicated to companies selected to participate in national and international showcases promoted by Outdoor Arts Italia. The pathway prepares artists and companies to present themselves effectively in front of programmers, curators and artistic selectors, through individual and collective mentoring sessions, both in person and online. OUT Mentor works on building the artistic pitch, project communication, professional relationship management and understanding market dynamics. The goal is not just to prepare a performance: it is to build a conscious, credible and competitive presence within the professional circuit. The programme is led by sector experts with direct experience in programming, curating and international distribution. OUT Mentor is a strategic tool to transform a good artistic idea into a concrete opportunity for visibility and collaboration.
OUT Talk
OUT Talk is the programme of public encounters with personalities from the world of performing arts, contemporary culture and related fields. Each event offers a space for reflection, inspiration and exchange on key themes for the sector: from the evolution of artistic languages to sustainability practices, from cultural policies to transformations in the international market. Guests are artists, curators, researchers, operators and thinkers capable of opening new perspectives and stimulating questions. OUT Talk is not a frontal presentation format, but a moment of collective dialogue in which the audience actively participates in building the discourse. Meetings take place in person, during sector events, or online to ensure maximum accessibility. OUT Talk is designed for those who want to stay informed, nourish their vision and connect with the ideas that are redefining the field of outdoor arts.
