Call for expressions of interest to join the italian delegation to FiraTàrrega as part of the 2025 international promotion projects
Outdoor Arts Italia ETS continues to strengthen the internationalization process launched in recent years, reaffirming its commitment to establishing a structured presence in the leading European contexts dedicated to outdoor arts.
Following the Focus Italia held in Alès in July 2025 as part of the Cratère Surface festival in collaboration with Le Cratère – Scène Nationale, alongside Italian partners Circuito CLAPS and Festival Internazionale Mirabilia, and the partnership initiated with Umore Azoka during the Festival de Artistas Callejeros de Leioa—formalized through the signing of a bilateral agreement in May 2025—Outdoor Arts Italia confirms its interest in developing a new step in international cooperation with FiraTàrrega, a strategic reference for the outdoor arts sector in Europe.
Participation in FiraTàrrega 2025 will be an opportunity to
- Strengthen the visibility of the Italian outdoor arts sector through a dedicated space inside the Llotja;
- Promote a delegation of Italian professionals with facilitated access to the fair and logistical support during their stay;
- Organize a presentation panel on the Italian market, to foster connections among professionals and facilitate the touring of projects;
- Activate synergies with other networks and festivals engaged in transnational collaborations.
Outdoor Arts Italia believes it is important to involve Italian organizations that have already embarked on an international path or wish to contribute to a cohesive representation of the Italian performing arts scene and are interested in building new international partnerships.
Outdoor Arts Italia will provide
- Free registration to FiraTàrrega for up to 10 Italian professionals (value: €75 per person);
- Discounted accommodation with selected host families through Fira, at an estimated cost of €45/night (VAT excluded), to be paid by the participant;
- Logistical support for airport transfers to/from Barcelona, coordinated with the Fira (travel and transfer costs covered by the participant);
- Access to activities reserved for the Italian delegation, including the presentation panel and matchmaking meetings with international professionals and artists.
Selected participants, upon membership registration, will have access to a structured programme aimed at visibility, networking, and internationalization:
1. Presence with an institutional stand at the llotja
Outdoor Arts Italia will be present at the Llotja of FiraTàrrega with a dedicated space acting as a contact point and visibility hub for the represented Italian organizations. Delegates will be able to use this space to share promotional materials, present their projects, and connect with international professionals.
2. Presentation of the italian ecosystem in the official fira conference programme
Outdoor Arts Italia will curate a panel focused on the Italian public space arts scene, with special attention to collaboration opportunities and operating models. The panel will be part of the Fira’s professional programme and will serve as a strategic showcase for Italian experiences, projects, and best practices aimed at international programmers, cultural professionals, and stakeholders.
3. Accompaniment programme and dedicated meetings
The Italian delegation will take part in a curated path including discussion sessions and tailored meetings with professionals and representatives from European networks, particularly local stakeholders such as Catalan Arts and Institut Ramon Llull. Delegates will also have access to informal networking events organized by other organizations such as Artekale and ISACS, encouraging active participation and expanding collaboration opportunities.
4. Working table with networks and intermediary organizations
A multilateral meeting will be promoted between Outdoor Arts Italia and intermediary organizations from other European countries, aiming to initiate a dialogue toward co-designing joint initiatives and fostering the development of structured collaborations, also in view of future funding opportunities.
5. One-to-one meetings with programmers and professionals
FiraTàrrega will provide dedicated slots at the Llotja for Outdoor Arts Italia’s delegation to arrange individual meetings (1-to-1) with other Fira delegates.
6. Participation in speed dating sessions
The delegation will be invited to participate in speed-date sessions—structured networking moments offering brief meetings with artists and companies presenting their shows or attending the Fira. These encounters provide valuable opportunities to discover new artistic proposals and establish initial contacts for future collaboration.
Participation terms and cost coverage
Participation in the delegation includes free registration to FiraTàrrega, provided by Outdoor Arts Italia for up to 10 professionals. However, participants are responsible for covering their own travel, food, and accommodation costs. Outdoor Arts Italia, in agreement with FiraTàrrega, will pre-pay the costs of staying with selected host families, applying the discounted rate (approx. €45/night for a single room, VAT excluded). These costs will then be reimbursed by the participants directly to Outdoor Arts Italia according to the terms that will be communicated.
Regarding transfers to and from Barcelona airport, each participant will be able to reserve a seat via a specific form provided by FiraTàrrega. The cost of the transfer will be borne by the participant.
